Curb ramps are built environment features that allow the sidewalk plane to connect with the street plane by means of a ramp over a limited distance. The dataset identifies ramp types based on those defined by the US Access Board as of April 2019, whose guidance is directed by ADA requirements to ensure that public infrastructure is designed so people of all abilities can physically access places within the parameters of the law. The dataset extent covers all 25 jurisdictions in the County, though each jurisdiction is limited to having ramps identified with a specific 1/2 mile or 1/4 mile Euclidian radius of prominent pedestrian sites as defined during the Sidewalk Inventory Plan. For further details regarding the methodology, please refer to those plan documents.

The dataset consists of 6 attributes, including:

'CurbAccessType': Defines the type of crub ramp.

'DetectableWarning': Identifies in binary terms if the ramp also comes with additional markings as per ADA guidance.

The attributes also contains a 'Notes' field for each record for additional observations on each record to be included should there be more notes. The majority if not all of these entries will most likely be 'null'.
